Adoption Services

We provide pregnancy counseling and adoption services to birth and adoptive parents.

Catholic Charities serves birth mothers who are experiencing an unexpected pregnancy and are seeking life for their child. Our adoption counselors guide birth mothers through every step of the process from obtaining medical care to selecting adoptive parents. We provide caring, nonjudgmental and loving support to educate birth mothers about the adoption process and to honor their requests regarding the many options that are available for open and closed adoptions.

Catholic Charities serves married couples who are seeking to adopt a child to start or expand their family. We offer home study services for applicants to help parents decide if adoption is right for them, and what type of child will be the best match for their family. The home study is a written document about a family and includes basic information drawn from interviews with a family and information provided by third parties.

Our adoption counselors are licensed counselors with extensive training on the adoption process as well as a pastoral approach that emphasizes the human dignity of each person as a unique individual made in the image and likeness of God.

Our adoption counselors travel throughout the nine counties of the Diocese of Orlando. They offer two information sessions per year to explain the infant adoption process to couples who are exploring adoption.
