Who We Are

The Family Stability Program provides homeless prevention and rapid rehousing services to men, women and families who are either experiencing homelessness or are at risk of being homeless. Financial assistance is provided to those in need who meet the eligibility criteria for various funding sources. The eligibility criteria and the amount of funding available varies by funding source, the location where assistance is needed and the situation and circumstances of those in need. A comprehensive assessment completed by a Family Stability Program case manager determines eligibility. We serve clients from the following nine counties: Brevard, Lake, Marion, Orange, Osceola, Polk, Seminole, Volusia, and Sumter counties. “I ran inside, quickly got dressed, woke up my daughter and got her out of there,” he recalled. “We left with nothing but the clothes we had on us. It was scary. Within a few minutes, my apartment was completely in flames.”
