The program offers 15 dormitory-style residential units within a structured, community-based living environment designed to promote stability, vocational growth, and long-term housing readiness. Pathways to New Hope offers dormitory-style housing with private bathrooms. Each unit includes a private restroom and shower, along with a kitchenette equipped with a sink, microwave, and full-size refrigerator. Units do not include traditional stovetops or ovens. Residents are welcome to prepare meals in their units using approved appliances such as toaster ovens, air fryers, and crock pots, in accordance with Community Guidelines. The residential community includes 11 studio units, 3 one-bedroom units, and 1 two-bedroom unit, with first-floor units available for individuals with mobility challenges. Pathways to New Hope is not emergency shelter housing. The program is intended for individuals who are able and willing to participate in a shared residential community with clear expectations, supportive services, and personal accountability. Housing Model Pathways to New Hope operates as a dormitory-style housing community with shared community standards and common-area expectations. Housing is offered based on availability, eligibility screening, and overall program fit. Residency is designed to support short- to mid-term housing stability, with the goal of preparing residents for a successful transition to more independent housing. Residents are asked to contribute 45% of their monthly income toward housing costs. Monthly housing contributions include: Wi-Fi Electricity Water and sewage On-site laundry access Access to supportive and vocational services Community Living & Guidelines As a dormitory-style housing community, Pathways to New Hope operates under clearly defined Community Guidelines that support safety, respect, and shared responsibility. Residents are expected to: Respect quiet hours and shared spaces Comply with guest, smoking, and conduct policies Maintain their unit and shared common areas Participate in required meetings and program activities Community Guidelines are provided to all residents and are a condition of residency. Supportive Services & Life Planning Residents work collaboratively with program staff to develop an individualized Life Plan, supported through regular case management meetings. Services are structured, goal-oriented, and focused on helping residents build skills, income, and housing stability. Available supports include: Case management and Life Plan development Housing counseling Health and wellness education Technology training and computer lab access Vocational Training & Workforce Development Pathways to New Hope emphasizes active vocational engagement. Residents are expected to participate in employment, training, or educational activities as part of their housing agreement. An on-site professional kitchen provides vocational training opportunities. Through a partnership with Seminole State College, eligible residents may enroll in a Culinary and Hospitality Management certificate program, supporting pathways to sustainable employment. Program Focus The goal of Pathways to New Hope is to reduce the risk of homelessness by combining affordable housing, structured community living, and on-site vocational opportunities within a supportive and accountable environment.
