“I was in Chile, and I passed through 10 more countries and arrived in Mexico. After Mexico, I crossed the border and came here. Catholic Charities helped me a lot, like when I got here, I didn’t have anything. I had no money. I had nothing, but you helped me sign up for food stamps and to go to the hospital.

The people here are very good. Since I was little, I was in Catholic school. The Church is very good. The people have big hearts. They help people who don’t have a lot. It is very good.

I like the things Catholic Charities does. I love the way you do things, but when you help a person who doesn’t have things, it’s very good. God says they have to help people who are in need. It has to be given, it has to be supplied.”
